You may already have their products in your kitchen or bathroom, but multinational Spanish surface expert Cosentino Group is now making a bigger impact in the Australian housing and construction markets.
Cosentino Group designs and produces stone surfaces for construction, kitchen and bathroom retailers and studios, and is making headway in the commercial sector, fitting out high rise apartments and home builds.
The internationally renowned company recently undertook a strategic expansion of its Australian operation that has created new employment opportunities.
Cosentino Group’s Regional Director of Oceania Operations Con Papadakis said the company was using the situation to consider different workforce structures to help optimise productivity.
“We’ve applied an integrated workforce model with permanent and temporary contracts, giving us much-needed flexibility that helps our teams performance,” Mr Papadakis said.
“In Sydney, we opened a new facility that’s four times the size of what we had previously.
“We tried to fill the jobs using several recruitment companies, but they just weren’t right for us and didn’t understand our needs.
“I met Katie Moses at Anderson by chance and we haven’t looked back.”
Cosentino Group signed a national agreement with Anderson Recruitment & Training for staff in Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales.
Anderson Operations Manager Katie Moses said the company’s focus on people has been a major benefit to Cosentino.
“We know from years of working with many large construction and rail companies that having a quality applicant is absolutely everything,” she said.

Mr Papadakis said the attention Anderson had given Cosentino has been unrivalled.
“I mentioned before we tried other suppliers but failed, and in contrast, what Anderson does exceptionally well is show interest in our business.
“It was so impressive to see founder Chris Anderson, a living legend of rugby league, fly to Perth and visit our local operation, while our dedicated Account Manager has been down to look at the Sydney warehouse and frequently gets in touch to check how the service is, it’s a valuable partnership.”
